Show introduction this week includes the story of Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan suing the state over Mandatory no-fault insurance, Detroit’s Green Acres neighborhood is working to keep a Corned Beef Egg Roll restaurant out and the Trumbullplex turns 25.
We then dive into our recap of Episode 07×04 of The Venture Bros . After the Morphic Trilogy it feels like we’re finally diving into what this seasons gonna be about. School year kicks off for Dean, while Hank embraces the privacy of a swinging new bachelor pad. Dr. Venture’s new invention has the potential to keep Venture Industries afloat and The Monarch continues his climb up the ranks to eventually be reassigned his former nemesis.
Featured segment this week is Robert’s interview with Jon Diener, front man of Flint based band Baggage and former drummer of long time punk rock road dogs The Swellers. The two discuss Jon’s thoughts near the end of The Swellers, formation of his new project as well as the upcoming Hope: A Comic for Flint Anthology which Jon curated set for release September 1st.
First Friday of the month means its time for our September 2018 Movie Preview. This time around we check out The Nun, The Predator, The House With a Clock In Its Walls, Fahrenheit 11/9 and The Old Man & The Gun.
We end the show with something a little different as Skrimps gives us a rundown of the Detroit Month of Design, which features a ton of different events and runs all through the month of September.

This week starts off with a discussion on the Spyro: Reignited Trilogy requiring internet access to play games 2 and 3 and what this means for the future of physical releases for games. We then give our thoughts on if The Detroit Red Wings will ever retire Sergei Federov’s number. We end the introduction talking about the Defense in the Flint terror case requesting that the trial be moved to Detroit.

Erin and I dig into Episode 2 of the new season of The Venture Brothers

Featured segment this week is our interview with Louis C. Justin of Massacre Video. We talk about his inspiration for the company, acquiring the rights to releases and some of the recent projects Massacre has done.

We end the show with a Tribute to the career of Wrestling Legend Kane as he prepares to hang up the tights and take office as Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

We start the show talking about Lebron James’ I Promise School and all the media buzz around it. We follow that up with a story about a Detroit couple hoping to turn a 130-year old barn into a restaurant only a block away from Ford’s planned Corktown campus. We end the beginning of the show by watching the video of a Detroit Police Officer assaulting a naked woman at Detroit’s Receiving Hospital.

Our featured piece this week is an interview Erin and I did with Cameron Robert Harrison, the man formally behind Florida based projects Betterment and The Cute Fills, as well as his current Columbus based Farseek. We also speak R A T S Records, screen printing, and his upcoming tour with Worst Party Ever.

We close out the show with Robert showing the guys three movie trailers as a promo for next week’s interview with Louis C Justin of Massacre Video.

End of an era this week as Brian and Babsy leave the show as permanent cast members. But no fear, the guys will still appear from time to time. This does however leave us with open chairs at the table. We will be rotating a series of guest for the foreseeable future, with plans to bring on at least one permanent cast member in the future.

This week, Erin invited in his pal Steve who also attended Warped Tour and we start the show off with our thoughts on the event. We end the first part of the show by discussing if its surprising that the Detroit Lion’s were ranked as the 2nd lowest valued franchise in the NFL.

During a brief break, Robert show’s the guys his favorite Doug Stanhope bit.

We end the show with an interview with Middle-Man Records Head Honcho Shawn Decker. We talk about the formation of the label, the international appeal of screamo, and the upcoming Coma Regalia tour with Hundreds of Au:

We begin with a study which states 6,000 Detroit school children did not have a schedule recess this school year. We follow that up with the second half of our 2018 Vans Warped Tour Preview. This time around we talk about Trash Boat, State Champs, Palaye Royale, Four Year Strong and Simple Plan.

Next up, Robert Under interviews Chazz and Ethan from Salt Lake City band Picnics at Soap Rock. We talk about their history as a duo, the music scene in Salt Lake City and their debut EP, which came out on June 20th.

We end the show with Erin attempting to guess the top 10 selling pop punk albums of all-time.

At the top of the show we talk about the North American International Auto Show’s proposal to move away from its cold January schedule We end the first segment with a preview of the 2018 Vans Warped Tour which hits locally on July 20th. Included in the preview are Nekrogoblikon, Ice Nine Kills, Beartooth, Knuckle Puck and Bowling For Soup. Join us next week for the second half of our preview.
